Prof. Mariusz Załucki, in his speech, noted that the time of a pandemic is a situation with increased human mortality, which cannot remain without the influence and interest of the law of inheritance. The speaker examines these solutions and considers the legitimacy of informalisation of the inheritance law for the period following the pandemic, while presenting the statutory solutions of selected countries. Prof. Carmen Lazaro Guillamon continued the subject of the last will highlighting that the possibility of last will in case of an epidemic is indebted to Justinian Roman law, the testamentum tempore pestis contemplated a quick way of making a will in case of an epidemic, before successive witnesses who could not coincide, so as not to spread the disease. Centuries have passed, but classic responses to the most serious problems show that neither our healthcare organization nor our legal genius have made much progress.

The discussions were continued in the following language panels: English (headed by Prof. Andrea Planchadell-Gargallo and Ph.D. Iwona Florek, Prof. Ksenofon Krisafi and assoc. Prof. Małgorzata Such-Pyrgiel) Polish (headed by Assoc. Prof. Magdalena Sitek and Assoc. Prof. Mieczysław Różański and Assoc. Prof. Maciej Rzewuski) and Italian and Spanish (headed by Prof. Ferdinando Parente and Prof. Amparo Montañana-Casaní and Prof. Jose Luis Zamora Manzano and Prof. Laura Tafaro).
